HONG
KONG – Bigfoot Entertainment, an Asian entertainment group with offices in Hong
Kong and studios in the Philippines, will enter the U.S. theatrical market when
it self-distributes "Midnight Movie" next week.
"Bigfoot is poised to handle niche platform
releases in the domestic theatrical market," Bigfoot said in a statement. "The
company is strategically positioned to distribute its own slate of feature films
as well as films acquired by the company to fully service independent filmmakers
with varying production budgets."
"Midnight Movie" will open in a limited
release on Oct 17 and be rolled out to other major markets throughout the
U.S. in a traditional platform manner. Marketing and distribution strategy for
(Bigfoot's) theatrical operation will be managed
in-house.
