TOKYO -- Tokyo-based the New Media Group is partnering with Viacom18 to bow Indian entertainment channel Colors on the TNMG's World On-Demand broadband strand.

According to the terms of the carriage deal, announced Monday, viewers will be able to preview Colors free for one week. Launch is skedded for some time this month.

Started in India in July, Colors is operated by Viacom18, a joint venture between Viacom and the Network 18 Group. Programming ranges from reality shows to dramas and pics. The primary targets of the World On-Demand Colors service are Indian expats in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia.
