PUSAN - Irresistible
Films, the new production company set up by Hong Kong’s
Edko Films and Avex Entertainment of Japan, has announced its management team
at the shingle’s launch in Pusan on Sunday.
Nansun Shi, producer of “Infernal Affairs” and “Seven
Swords” will head the company as Managing Director. Lorna Tee, previously of
the FOCUS: First Cuts project and former business development manager for Variety in Asia, has been announced as General Manager of the joint
venture. Jannie Wai, previously of Panorama Entertainment in Hong
Kong, is also onboard as production co-ordinator.
The company aims to invest in four to six Asian films a
year with film budgets ranging between USD1 million to USD 3million per film by
new filmmakers. International sales for films by Irresistible Films will be
represented by Distribution Workshop.
