Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's international veteran Gary Ferguson will be solely devoted to nurturing future growth
markets for Fox homevid in his newly expanded position as senior VP,
emerging markets. Ferguson will focus on developing a viable business
in China and Russia and identifying expansion opportunities in Brazil.
Appointment comes as division is given a new territory management structure.
Ferguson
also will supervise Fox's worldwide licensee operation and play a key
part in the division's antipiracy agenda. Previously serving as Fox
homevideo's senior VP for Europe, Ferguson began his tenure with Fox in
1995 as homevid managing director, U.K.
Steven Leighton has been
appointed to the newly created role of senior VP, Northern Europe; he
will oversee the U.K., German and Nordic territories. His duties
include supervising the division's day-to-day U.K. operation, and
managing Fox homevideo's longstanding Nordic partnership with
distributor Svensk Filmindustri. Leighton joined Fox homevid in 2004 as
managing director for Australia prior to becoming U.K. managing
director in 2006.
Effective July 30, Marc Caux comes aboard as
senior VP, southern Europe, to oversee the division's offices in
France, Benelux, Italy and Spain. Caux will undertake a leading role in
partnering with Carrefour --where Fox currently operates as DVD
category manager across the four territories -- as well as managing
French joint-venture relationships with Pathe and Europa.
Europe-based
Ferguson, Leighton and Caux will report to Keith Feldman, exec
VP-general manager, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Intl., at
the division's Los Angeles HQ.
