In a nice bit of news, Japanese comedian, Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, has had his first star vehicle, FINE, TOTALLY FINE, picked up for UK distribution by Third Window Films, the people who released MEMORIES OF MATSUKO and a host of other quality Asian flicks that fall outside the horror/action axis. FINE, TOTALLY FINE will play at the Raindance Film Festival in October and will be followed by (hopefully) a small theatrical release from Third Window.
In other Third Window news, they've had to push back the DVD releases of KAMIKAZE GIRLS and MEMORIES OF MATSUKO to January 2009.
In other Stylejam news, the new Canadian distributor, Evokative Films, has picked up Canadian rights to ADRIFT IN TOKYO, which is a bit odd since most people sell US and Canadian rights together, but it looks like Stylejam is making every sale they can so that's something nice for the maple syrup lapping peoples out there.
